Damon, buy the things you want to buy. Meet people, do your thing. I spent my first six years living abroad, floating, never settling, and constantly worrying about the next time I have to move somewhere because of my visa. I missed out on living enjoyment and finding things that I actually want. I didn't buy that fancy coffee machine because I might need to sell it later, I didn't look for a permanent home I love because I might need to move again, and I refuse to put any drop of commitment to anyone I meet... that is tiring. But we have to let go of our fears and start enjoying life. Because who knows where life will take me and where I will be living next? We'll see. If I meet someone, maybe by then, I will find a way to get my visa renewed, and life will figure itself out, maybe with that person I will move somewhere new, who knows. I focus on my goals but let it flow. I sent many messages to people I dated to apologies of my past wrong doing if any, and I wish them a happy life. I found my own closure, and my peace. Now, I feel fulfilled. Not perfect but happy. I met the love of my life, grew my career, and got my permanent residence so I don't have to worry that much anymore. Live your life, Damon, and don't think too much xxx

when i think about philosophy and those "hard to answer" questions, my head always hurts like crazy and often times i just quit and do not even think bout philosophy for a really long time. in your case, it was new to me see that actual human being in front of me reading and thinking about those stuff as well as i do. which, u might say, so what? the point is that i used to lose my way a lot because there are a lot of concepts that needs to be covered and i have a lot of questions along the way and after some point i just lose my way and my questions remain unanswered and trying to figure out the answers personally feels so lonely and weird and nihilistic, in a way. i am not sure how to put it straight but what is the point if only "i" am asking those questions and no one else. OR even though they ask, we never understand the same things. People look at the stuff mostly influenced their background and being not understood by others makes it even more lonelier and sad and honestly making me not wanting to live anymore so i just ignore thinking about it. however, in your video, as though my head started to heard and hearing some of the questions were uncomfortable, i felt accepted by you and you allowed me to think however i want but still, we meet on some kind of common ground which is really comforting to me. i appreciate your content and so glad that u taking ur time and reading books then telling us your perspective. i am definitely mesmerized by your way of thinking, you made me admire you and philosophic-way of living once again and.. idk, i am just glad to feel seen and heard. i hope this text finds you well, love from Istanbul..(btw i cannot wait to hear more of your opinions about religion, bc it is quite intersting to me. It's ridiculous how deeply this video resonated with me 🙈 ❤ Going through a similar thing right now. A connection I had for more than 6 years. We were in different countries, but still such great support for each other and really as you said, he became my best friend. Even though for both of us things were confusing and happening on the side. We were each others HBIC 😄 The emotional connection was there and very strong. And even though we thought we should end things because of how challenging it was and neither wanting to leave the rest of our life behind, we still somehow held on. I guess that's love. Just being there for each other through the ups and downs I too was a bit too late to actually realise how beautiful it was... A few months ago for the first time things shifted properly. He became serious with someone else. Most ridiculous thing, we still had a trip planned together. To Ireland. Watched some of your video for imspo ✨ Turned out to be a goodbye trip. In a way there was closure, but not entirely. Funny enough, we had also another meeting by coincidence in Amsterdam. And that did feel like I'm seeing him for the last time 💔 I too can't cut him off. I love him too much to expect to do what I would prefer. Don't want to stay in the way of his pursuit of happiness. But deam, it's difficult. Loosing a friend and that connection. We still talk, but it's just not the same. Can it even be? Thanks for talking about this all so openly 🙏 helps me to put some things into perspective
